Free Printable for Fall Bucket List

Autumn has arrived and it is time to make a fall bucket list of favorite things to do this season. Bring back those yearly traditions of fun activities when the air starts to chill and the leaves turn. Many of us enjoy partaking in both active and sedentary fall activities, so we may as well use a checklist to remind us to enjoy fall to the fullest. If you are like me, the days seem to fly by with a flurry of busyness, especially once school begins. We have to make time to appreciate the little things that give a spark to this season before the last leaf falls. Keep reading to find an autumn bucket list to help make that time!

Fall Checklist of Activities

If you are looking for fun & memorable things to do in the fall, I have a cute free printable for you today. This free fall bucket list is filled with watercolor images of those perfect time-tested autumn activities, fun for families or cozy time alone.

Pick apples.

How many of us have the fondest memories of family trips to the orchard when we were small? Perhaps we even hopped on a hayride and visited some animals while there. The best part was eating the fruits of our labor (or Dad’s labor of holding us high to pick). I know we have always cherished these visits with our own children.

Visit a pumpkin patch.

I recall setting our young toddlers down among a field of pumpkins and letting them crawl around. Our babes weren’t much bigger than some of those pumpkins! It’s pretty amazing to take in a sea of colorful pumpkins, then hunt to find your favorite.

Set a fall table.

When the air turns crisp, it’s time to set out FALL PUMPKINS, candle sticks, and WHEAT STALKS for table centerpieces. And oh, don’t forget Dahlias! I enjoy adding fall colors and textures to a harvest-themed dinner table, especially when I can toss a plaid throw on as a tablecloth.

Bake apple pie.

There is not much more enticing a smell than an apple pie baking in the oven. Enjoying a warm slice with vanilla ice cream is the perfect end to a Sunday afternoon. I still have my Mom’s tried and true apple pie recipe, which gets made every single fall.

Go leaf peeping.

If you live anywhere near New England, this is a MUST DO! The deep reds, oranges, and yellow of the maple trees are simply glorious. If possible, try to take a (small) mountain hike and take in the view from above.

Enjoy hot coffee with cinnamon.

Along with the apple pie, cinnamon compliments hot beverages perfectly in the fall! This season is a nice time to catch up with an old friend for coffee at a book store cafe. Bring along a MUG COZY to keep that coffee warm.

Read a fall mystery.

While you peruse that book store with a friend, grab an intriguing FALL MYSTERY BOOK. Make sure it is a page-turner filled with autumn winds, chills, and perhaps haunted spooks. Agatha Christie mysteries are my favorites, but I also can’t resist one with a British setting.

Light an autumn candle.

My all-time favorite fall candle is Village Candle’s WARM APPLE PIE flavor. It fills the house with that quintessential fall scent, even when you didn’t get a chance to do #4. I would love to hear about your favorite candles!

Snuggle up…

…with a warm FALL SCARF or throw blanket. The best ones are handmade, like this CHUNKY KNIT LAP THROW. Big scarf ponchos are fantastic, too, and keep you warm all over.

Knit cozy socks.

Fall is a perfect time to begin knitting or crochet projects. I’m always reaching for my knitting needles and crochet hooks come September. The only struggle is choosing what project to make first. Warm socks are always a good choice to get ready for colder weather.

Make a fall wreath.

A festive wreath on the front door beckons with a warm welcome to guests. They will be treated to a cozy fall feeling before they take in your apple pie, coffee & cinnamon scents inside.
