Summer Printables! -Scandinavian Wall Art

Summer is finally upon us and boy, doesn’t it feel good to be outside? As I write this post temperatures are in the 70’s, a breeze is flowing through my window, and the sun is smiling down. Sigh. Although we can’t enjoy this summer the way we’re used to (big crowds, games, theme parks), we’ll be sure to take pleasure in the simple things.

Do you love to just sit outside in a lounge chair with a book, tea, or lemonade? Perhaps take a afternoon nap relaxing in a hammock or swing chair? Even better, invite a friend over to your porch and have a long conversation (even if it’s 6 feet away)?

Today I’ve got two lovely summer printables to help you dream of those moments. Each printable measures 5″ x 7″ and can easily fit inside frames of that size. I also have frame recommendations for you!

First printable – hanging chair

The first printable I have for you has a Boho and Scandinavian feel to it. There’s a restful swinging chair for you to dream on and comfy cushions on hand. Imagine yourself there, perhaps with books or flowers in a basket nearby. The scene beckons to you…”Summer is here!”

Next printable – rustic wood chair

Similar to the first print, this summer art conveys a simplistic Scandinavian feel. In this scene, a light wood rustic chair with blue & white pillows sits next to a lovely wood stool. A minimalist lantern comes in handy when the sun sets and you begin your leisurely evening. Remember to: “Relax…it’s summer!”

Display the summer printables

I’ve got a couple of suggestions on how to display these printables…

Hang your printables with washi tape!

Along with simply resting your summer prints on a mantel or shelf, you could also try hanging each printable with coordinating washi tape. I used some gray polka dot washi tape I had on hand, but you could try any style you like. I love the look of simple art hung on the wall with washi tape.

Hang them side by side…

…or individually:

Hang your printables with clothes pins!

These little prints would also look perfect clipped to wood clothespins. The natural wood compliments the light woods in the prints. That combination makes for a lovely Scandinavian look. Here I’ve clipped the summer printables to a faded gray shutter…

Frame your printables!

Lastly, you could put these printables in frames suitable for 5×7 prints. I’ve found a variety of frames that would showcase these summer printables well. Take a look and simply click on your favorite…

Here are some ideas for washi tape, too:

Once you download the file, you can print the wall art directly on 5×7 paper, or print on 8.5×11 paper and trim to a 5×7 size. I recommend printing on hard white card stock.

      Hi there,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble. I created the pdf file with 2 pages (1 image on each page). Each image is sized 5″x7″, so that way anyone could print it directly onto 5″x7″ paper. Each image can also be printed on 8.5″x11″ paper, so you should be able to select that size paper in your printer. Then you can just trim the paper to size.
That is what I did. I printed each image to 8.5″x11″ card stock and cut them down to the 5″x7″ size.
Hope that helps. Thanks for visiting!
