Budget Shopping – Farmhouse Faux Greenery
We’re still getting crafty this month of March here at A Box of Twine. Today I’m showing you some great budget finds for faux greenery – use them to decorate your home in farmhouse style this spring!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve noticed that the faux greenery & florals available these days are much better than the old days (remember potpourri-type dried flowers?). Now you can find more realistic greenery for decor, and much of it is easily incorporated into farmhouse style.
Go (Faux) Green!
My absolute favorite go-to faux greenery is lambs ears. The gray/green shade and soft petals always stop me in my tracks. I used branches of them in the twine-wrapped vases I put together not long ago.
Second in line of my faux favorites is eucalyptus branches. The real branches are also affordable and smell divine, but they end up browning after a while. In that case, I think it’s a good idea to mix the real with the faux over time.
I’ve been able to score some great faux branches on Amazon, and I’m delighted to share my favorite finds there with you. Along with the greenery, I found some terrific farmhouse style receptacles for them!

Now that I’ve got your attention with these fabulous finds….how to style them in your home? Here are my favorite ways..
Faux Greenery in Our Home
Living Room
In our living room, I simply placed branches of lambs ears in a glass vase, and tucked eucalyptus stems in a vintage box. They provide a pleasant touch of spring over the bookcase.
Bedroom
I made this simple wreath over the bed by tucking a faux vine garland along with 3 stems of lambs ears into a wire wreath form. Easy!
Bathroom
I tucked some faux eucalyptus stems into a glass vase trio I’ve had for years, and placed it in our modern farmhouse bathroom. The spray of green is the perfect contrast against all the white on the bead board, trim, toilet, and vanity. The greenery really pops!
Dining Room
You may recall my twine-wrapped vases project in a previous post. The lambs ear branches are the perfect companion to our wood farmhouse table. This room’s various textures put a smile on my face and a ‘spring’ in my step.
How do you incorporate faux greens into your home? I’d love to hear.
Go Faux!
