Easy and Cheap DIY Farmhouse Style Vases

I’ve got another super easy project for you here at A Box of Twine and the featured supply is: TWINE! If you’re like me, you frequent thrift stores for budget finds. You may have also quickly passed by that huge shelving unit containing a plethora of glass items, especially if you’ve got rambunctious children in tow.

Don’t pass by that shelf anymore! See the possibilities of the simplest glass vases transformed with twine into ‘farmhouse style vases’. Grab a variety of three small vases, such as these I found at my local thrift store (all for $2.50 total).

Steps to Assemble Farmhouse Style Vases

  • Wrap twine around neck of vase several times until you’re satisfied with the look.

  • Attach a JEWELRY CONNECTOR with your desired word to the twine, and place at the front of the vase.
  • Cut the twine and tie a knot in the back of the vase.

  • Next, grab some BUNDLES OF FAUX LAMBS EARS and place inside the vases. I had purchased a large bundle of the branches, then separated them. I also bent the long stems to fit inside my small-sized vases.

That’s all there is to this project! Easy peasy.

Display the Farmhouse Style Vases

I think the vases look perfect grouped together, but you could also make a bunch of these to place at individual table settings.

Another option is to showcase them in a farmhouse-style caddy:

My caddy is a vintage flea market find, but I can imagine these vases looking terrific in THIS FARMHOUSE STYLE CADDY:

THIS GALVANIZED CADDY is another great option:

Have fun with the vases! Wouldn’t they be lovely as a hostess gift or a token for a new neighbor? The JEWELRY CONNECTOR WORDS add the special touch.
