How to knit a cowl

You will be knitting the cowl flat in a long rectangle in rows, then seaming the short ends together. When joining yarn from a new skein, sew the yarn ends together. You will need to work the seam with your fingers, since the yarn is too big for a yarn needle.

The pattern creates a super chunky style cowl. The great news is that the cowl can be worked so quickly. You can knock out the knit cowl any rainy/snowy afternoon or slow weekend.

How to make a Knit Cowl with Jumbo Yarn

NOTES: First, you will begin the cowl by casting on 8 sts.

Next, you will work a 4-row pattern repeat for the desired circumference of the cowl.

Next, you will bind off and seam the short ends together.

Lastly, weave or sew in any loose ends.

The Right Side (RS) will face you for odd-numbered rows, while the Wrong Side (WS) will face you for even-numbered rows.
