Crochet Cup Cozy put to use:

You can simply slide your cup cozy on your to-go coffee cup, or perhaps fasten the button under your favorite coffee mug handle. The button provides a way to customize the fit of your coffee cup cozy. Feel free to choose a smooth wood button to compliment the natural brown coffee beverage, or pick a bold colored button to jazz it up. Your choice! As long as the button is about 1″ diameter or more, the tab should fit around it.

** The cup cozy would fit best around a cup that is not too slippery, since it could slide down if the cup texture is too shiny and smooth.
