Crochet Wall Hanging Pattern {cute Boho style!}

I designed the crochet wall hanging specifically for a light, fun fall look. It has texture and depth with additional tassels and long fringe at the bottom. If you attach the wall hanging to a stick from the yard, it will have natural & rustic appeal. A wooden dowel is also an option if that suits your taste better. This fringe wall hanging doesn’t take long at all to make, and you can choose any yarn color combinations to your liking!

Inspiration for Boho Wall Hanging

I love the carefree look of Boho style, with its’ nod to macrame, tassels and fringe. I also adore the neutral colors of Scandinavian style, as well as rustic farmhouse appeal. These various styles inspired me to create an airy crochet wall hanging with lots of texture.

You will need a Size J crochet hook and about 40-50 yards of Medium (size 4) weight yarn for the main color (I used Red Heart Super Saver acrylic in color Soft White), as well as 40-50 yards of contrasting color (I used Premier Just Yarn acrylic in color Taupe) for fringe and tassels.

Adding the 5 tassels and gorgeous long fringe at the bottom gave my wall hanging just the right combination of interest and color. The crochet wall decor looks lovely against a shutter or other architectural piece, and would also look perfect on a porch.

The finished crochet wall hanging will measure approximately 10.5” width by 20″ height (including fringe).

Hanging your Crochet Wall Hanging

Once you have crocheted the main wall hanging piece and added your fringe and tassels, you can choose to attach it to a rustic stick from the yard…

Fringe Crochet Wall Hanging - stick, wrap around

or even a wooden dowel that is 12-14″ long.

Attach yarn to the stick, then hang from the wall:
